Pangilinan, who introduced the initiatives, said the agencies will soon unveil an infrastructure transparency dashboard that enables the public to verify every farm-to-market road (FMR) and bridge project based on its allocated budget and implementation timeline.
“Mas madali nang makita ng tao kung saan napupunta ang pera nila. That is evidence of good governance and transparency,” said Pangilinan, chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Food and Agrarian Reform.
The DA will also launch a citizen participatory audit program under the Commission on Audit (COA), allowing community members and stakeholders to take part in real-time project monitoring and reporting.
Pangilinan welcomed complementary measures such as the strengthening of internal audit systems, wider public access to procurement and project information, and the use of digital tools to reduce red tape and prevent irregularities in project execution.
He said the reforms underscore the need for sustained transparency efforts to ensure government programs provide tangible, measurable benefits to farmers, fisherfolk, and urban communities.
