LIPA CITY, BATANGAS — A landmark partnership was officially sealed
between Pilipinas Kaneko Seeds Corporation and Biorganism Corporation through
their groundbreaking BC AgriSystem SMART Greenhouse project. This collaboration
aims to revolutionize greenhouse farming across the Philippines by utilizing
Kaneko’s world-class seeds as the foundation for all future crop production
under the SMART Greenhouse platform. Both companies share a unified vision: to
champion precision agriculture and empower Filipino farmers with reliable
technologies and high-quality seeds for consistent, resilient harvests.
The formal agreement was
highlighted during a meeting attended by Kaneko Seed’s Executive Advisor, Mr.
Shinichiro Nishi, and Biorganism Corporation’s Chairman, Mr. Henry V. Bayubay,
consultant from Biorganism Takahiro Kawashima, Toshiaki Ito. Both leaders
expressed a deep understanding of the agricultural challenges faced by Filipino
farmers, particularly issues of outdated farming practices, limited market
access, and the worsening impact of climate change. They emphasized the
importance of collaboration between technology providers and seed innovators to
uplift local farmers and secure the nation’s food future.
Mr. Bayubay pointed out that
good seeds are the foundation of any successful farming venture. By integrating
Kaneko’s superior seeds into the BC AgriSystem SMART Greenhouse model,
Biorganism Corporation strengthens its promise of precision agriculture:
offering not just technology but also the essential biological components that
ensure high yields and better crop performance. “In this era of climate
uncertainty, starting with quality seeds is no longer optional — it’s a
necessity for survival and sustainability,” Bayubay remarked.
Mr. Nishi, for his part,
highlighted Kaneko Seed’s commitment to supporting Filipino farmers not only
through superior products but also through knowledge sharing and training on
modern agricultural methods. He expressed optimism that this partnership will
lead to tangible benefits for farmers, including improved livelihoods,
increased yields, and more secure food supply chains. “Filipino farmers are
resilient. They only need the right tools, knowledge, and opportunities — and
we are proud to contribute to that journey,” Nishi said.
Together,
Biorganism Corporation and Kaneko Seeds are sowing the seeds of a brighter
agricultural future for the Philippines. With SMART Greenhouse technology,
precision farming methods, and world-class seeds at the heart of this
partnership, both organizations reaffirm their commitment to innovation, farmer
empowerment, and building a resilient, sustainable, and food-secure nation.
