CvSU, DA-Calabarzon Launch Techno Demo Farm to Boost Agri Innovation in Cavite

INDANG, Cavite (PIA) – Cavite State University (CvSU) has partnered with the Department of Agriculture (DA) Calabarzon to establish an Integrated Techno Demo Farm, reinforcing its commitment to agricultural innovation, sustainable farming, and food security.

Set on 1.3 hectares of CvSU’s STAR Farm in Indang, the initiative aims to transform agricultural practices through research, training, and hands-on demonstration of modern technologies.

Project Goals: Promote sustainable and climate-resilient farming equip students and farmers with modern agri-tech skills, advance research and innovation in local agriculture, enhance food security and competitiveness in agribusiness.

Multi-Sectoral Collaboration, the partnership will facilitate: Joint research and extension services, sharing of knowledge, tools, and resources, regular monitoring and evaluation of agri technologies and policies. “This partnership aligns with CvSU’s mandate to provide leadership in agriculture, science and technology, and education,” the university stated.

DA Calabarzon officials emphasized that the project will help bridge the innovation gap in rural areas and replace outdated farming methods with more efficient, market-ready solutions.

“This is not just a farm; it’s a hub for knowledge transfer, skills training, and sustainable development,” officials said.
